Introduction
The School of Tourism Management (STM) is located at the Zhuhai Campus of Sun Yat-sen University. Established in 2004, STM has become a renowned institution for tourism education and research at home and abroad. In the 2024 Shanghai Ranking's Global Ranking of Academic Subjects, the Tourism and Leisure Management program of Sun Yat-sen University ranked 3rd globally and 1st in Chinese mainland
The STM offers three undergraduate majors: Tourism Management, Hotel Management, and Exhibition Economy and Management. Tourism Management and Exhibition Economy and Managementhave been designated as National First-Class Undergraduate Programs by the Ministry of Education. The Exhibition Economy and Management program also features a joint double-degree program with the University of Queensland, Australia (2.5+1.5 model) . The STM admits students for academic master's programs in Tourism Management, professional master's programs in Tourism Management (MTA), professional master's programs in Digital Cultural Management (MDCM), and doctoral programs in Tourism Management.
