PROFILE
Qiuju Luo is a Professor at the School of Tourism Management, Sun Yat-sen University, and a leading scholar in Event Management both at her institution and nationwide in China. Honored as a Yat-sen Excellent Scholar, she also serves as Chief Expert of the Sun Yat-sen University Rural Revitalization Joint Research Institute. For three consecutive years, she has been recognized by Elsevier as a “Highly Cited Chinese Researcher.” Her research focuses on event management, social media and tourism, and cultural tourism. She is the principal investigator of four grants funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Social Science Foundation of China, and has built a strong reputation within China’s event and tourism industries. Professor Luo has published more than 100 papers in leading peer-reviewed journals and has led over 80 consulting projects commissioned by government agencies and enterprises.
