My research focuses on tourism consumption and social transformation, particularly how tourism is shaped by consumer society and how it contributes to societal change. In the past three years, I have published 10 articles in top-tier journals (including Annals of Tourism Research) as first or corresponding author. I have led two projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (Youth Program) and the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation. Over the past five years, I have published 14 papers and submitted 7 policy briefs adopted or accepted by government advisory bodies.

Policy Briefs and Advisory Contributions
- In 2025, the policy brief “Systemic Vulnerabilities in the Multi-dimensional Embedding of Ethnic Groups and Policy Recommendations”, drafted as lead author, was adopted by Minzu Information (National Ethnic Affairs Commission) and submitted to the General Office of the CPC Central Committee, where it was officially accepted and published.
- In 2021, the internal policy paper “Dilemmas of State Autonomy in the Traditional Village Preservation Movement and Policy Responses”, authored as lead writer, was published in Chinese Social Sciences (Internal Reference).
- Since 2022, contributed to five policy briefs published by Southern Think Tank Bulletin and Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Research Bulletin, covering topics including ecological tourism development in ethnic minority areas in Guangdong, enhancing Macao as a tourism and cultural exchange hub, fostering national identity in the Greater Bay Area, rural youth talent programs, and ethnic population mobility at the county level.
Academic Exchange and Public Engagement
- In 2025, served as panel discussant at the Forum on High-Quality Cultural and Tourism Development and Local Reconstruction, part of the Spring Annual Conference of the Geographical Society of China, co-hosted by Tourism Tribune and the Cultural Geography Committee of the Geographical Society of China.
- In 2023, served as session chair for the Consumer Sociology Forum at the Annual Conference of the Chinese Sociological Association.
- In 2024, delivered a keynote speech at the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Interdisciplinary Forum on Culture and Tourism.
- In 2024, appointed as a member of the Youth Editorial Committee of the Advanced Forum on Anthropology.
